Nationals Senator for Victoria, Bridget McKenzie has congratulated Andrew Broad on his selection as the Nationals candidate for Mallee in the upcoming federal election.
Andrew Broad has properties in Bridgewater and Swan Hill and was selected as the Nationals Candidate for Mallee yesterday from a strong field. He is a primary producer and the former president of the Victorian Farmers Federation.
“Andrew will be a fantastic addition to the federal Nationals team. I have known Andrew for a long time and have admired his passion and enthusiasm,” Senator McKenzie said.
“If elected Andrew will be a part of a new generation of National Party politicians. He has a fresh perspective and personal experience of successfully representing regional communities.
Andrew Broad’s pre selection as the Nationals candidate for Mallee follows the retirement of John Forrest, MP.
“John Forrest has served as the Member for Mallee since 1993 and has worked tirelessly for 20 years to achieve the best outcomes for his community. He has made an outstanding contribution over that time and I believe Andrew Broad will continue the strong tradition of the National Party representing Mallee.
“I look forward to travelling through the seat of Mallee with Andrew and John Forrest to hear first hand the issues affecting the Mallee and Sunraysia districts,” Senator McKenzie said.
