RECKLESS RENEWABLES PETITION
To the Honourable President and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled: The petition of the undersigned shows: The Albanese Labor Government’s emissions targets requiring a six-fold increase in battery storage, quadrupling wind farms and tripling industrial-scale solar farms is driving the reckless rollout of large-scale renewable energy projects across Victoria that are threatening our regional communities, farmland, and environment. Your petitioners ask that the Senate: Calls for the reinstatement of the ability for local residents to appeal renewable energy development planning decisions through the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and pause further developments until proper planning, transparency and genuine community consultation is guarantees.
