“The show is a great local event that will see the Bendigo showgrounds transformed into an exciting arena filled with amusement rides, competitions, car and agricultural displays.
“This is a great opportunity to promote the region and meet exhibitors, see livestock and trade demonstrations, and support central Victorians in the various animal, craft, baking and sports competitions.
“Most importantly, though, I will get to meet and hear directly from the people of Bendigo.
“This will be a chance for them to raise local issues and concerns with their local Senator.”
The Victorian Coalition government’s investment of $2 million last year towards the construction of a new pavilion will ensure the showgrounds can continue to meet the expectations of exhibitors and patrons for a number of events for years to come.
Senator McKenzie said she was pleased to be able to support and celebrate all the region has to offer at the Bendigo show.
“It would be great to see as many people up at the showgrounds as possible.”
