Nationals Senator for Victoria, Bridget McKenzie, is launching a new survey designed to help her act on the priorities of Central Victorians.
Distributed over coming weeks via local newspapers, the survey will canvass the attitudes of people across Central Victoria – from Bendigo to Castlemaine and from Maldon to Mia Mia.
“As a new Senator, I’m undertaking widespread local consultation in order to help uncover the best areas to focus my attention,” said Senator McKenzie.
“I’m determined to effectively represent Central Victorians, and this survey will ensure that I can understand and work hard to help the local community by representing their views and dealing with their biggest concerns.”
A wide range of issues are covered by the survey, including:
- Cost of living pressures;
- The carbon tax;
- Local hospitals;
- Small business;
- Water security; and
- Local roads and infrastructure.
There is also space for respondents to let Senator McKenzie know what problem they would fix in their local area; and what issue they would most like to raise in Parliament.
Officially launching the survey, Senator McKenzie said “I encourage all Central Victorians to complete my community survey. I’ll use the results of the survey to advocate for your interests in Canberra.”
The survey is also available online at Senator McKenzie’s website here.
