Thank you to regional Victorian volunteers who donate their time to help others.
During National Volunteer Week (May 14-20), I encourage everyone to take a moment to acknowledge those people who selflessly donate their time and skills.
More than six million people volunteer Australia-wide, and contribute 700 million hours of community service each year. Without regional Victoria’s 500,000 volunteers it’s fair to say sporting clubs, schools and local organisations would struggle to operate.
Volunteers come in all forms, and play an essential role in our regional communities. They deserve our recognition.
